If you enjoy teaching, collaborating, and inspiring others to provide exceptional patient care, we'd love to have you on our team. ## Our Mission To advance the health and wellbeing of our community with a compassionate and caring spirit. ## What You'll Do As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will: * Plan, coordinate, and deliver educational programs, orientation, and ongoing staff development. * Assess learning needs and create educational opportunities that support clinical excellence. * Develop and present in-services, continuing education, and competency-based training. * Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff across the organization. * Collaborate with leadership, departments, and schools of nursing to support professional development. * Promote evidence-based practice and assist with implementing best practices. * Participate in developing and updating nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards. * Function as a change agent by supporting quality improvement initiatives and practice advancements. * Provide limited direct patient care to maintain outpatient and perioperative clinical competencies. ## What We're Looking For ### Required * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Education * Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license * Minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience * American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire ### Preferred * Previous nursing education or staff development experience * American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire * American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire ## Skills for Success We're looking for someone who: * Enjoys teaching, coaching, and mentoring others. * Has strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills. * Communicates effectively with staff, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams. * Builds positive relationships and promotes teamwork. * Is organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities. * Uses evidence-based practice to improve patient care and staff education. * Is comfortable using technology and electronic systems to develop, manage, and analyze educational resources. ## Why Join Deaconess Illinois?
