Job Description
As a Nutrition Services Buyer, you will: * Purchase food and non-food supplies for patient dining, Robin's Cove, and catering events. * Review upcoming menus and forecast inventory needs. * Place orders with multiple vendors using electronic ordering systems. * Maintain accurate inventory levels and purchasing records. * Ensure compliance with purchasing contracts and department guidelines. * Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries. * Process vendor invoices and returns in a timely manner. * Follow food safety, infection prevention, and HACCP standards. * Work closely with culinary and nutrition services leadership to support daily operations. Required Qualifications * High school diploma or GED. * Minimum of 2 years of food service experience with knowledge of food products and packaging. * Strong organizational and inventory management skills. * Basic computer proficiency, including email and inventory/order entry software. * Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate records. Preferred Qualifications * Experience using automated purchasing and inventory systems. * ServSafe Certification. Candidates should be able to safely handle food products and supplies while following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
