Position HighlightsDepartment: Human ResourcesHours: 40 hours per weekShift:  DaysWork Schedule: Monday - Friday (In-Person)Position SummaryThe Human Resources Support Specialist provides data processing, operational, administrative, and customer service support. The primary focus will be intake and routing of compensation requests, gathering and translating job and candidate information, maintaining accurate employee and job data, and supporting key total rewards workflows. The role also provides backup coverage for the HR front desk on a routine/daily basis and assists with onboarding and new hire orientation activities to cover absences/vacation. This is an on-site position.Job ResponsibilitiesCompensation SupportServe as the central intake point for compensation-related requests (offer support, new positions, reclassifications, market reviews, equity reviews, hiring range determinations) via the ASANA tracking system.Review incoming requests for completeness and obtain additional details from leaders, recruiters or HR partners as needed.Gather and prepare supporting materials for further analysis, including job descriptions, résumés, pay and job histories, and other relevant data.Translate job descriptions and résumé content into structured worksheets and templates, and update HRIS fields.Prepare preliminary materials for Compensation Analysts (pay comparison sheets, internal equity grids, job summary files).Maintain ASANA request statuses, track progress, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure timely movement of work. Assures team timely response based on service level agreements, and alerts management if work falls behind schedule.Front Desk, Orientation & Onboarding SupportCoordinate with the HR front desk to provide backup coverage during lunch, breaks or absences; greeting visitors and employees in a professional manner. Answer and route calls, monitor the HR inbox, and provide basic assistance or escalate inquiries as appropriate. Help ensure new hires are directed to appropriate resources and receive a positive onboarding experience.Maintain confidentiality and exemplary customer-service standards when interacting with employees and leaders.New Employee Orientation: Provide assistance with bi-weekly new hire orientation activities, including sign in and welcoming new employees. Assist with scheduling and preparing materials for new hire orientation.Pre-employment/Onboarding Support: Cross train to cover all onboarding and pre-employment activities during planned time off; including but not limited to collecting documents, conducting background activities and facilitating communications with candidates/managers, preparing welcome packets, and coordinating logisticsHRIS & Data SupportPerform basic HRIS functions, including entry and updates to employee data, job codes, titles, salary grades, FLSA status, and position attributes.Provide processing or data validation support for employee change transactionsValidate and transact new hire and rehire information in HRIS, upload relevant documentsRun standard weekly reports and assist with data pulls for audits, surveys, and compensation analysis.Support HRIS testing, validation, and audit processesBenefits SupportProvide limited administrative support for Benefits during peak periods or as assigned (e.g., Open Enrollment logistics, form processing).Assist with filing, documentation, and basic eligibility verification tasks under the direction of Benefits staff.Minimum Requirements2 Years of Experience in Administration, Human Resources, and data processing, with a focus on data and system processing and process facilitation. Experience with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets required.
