Revenue Cycle Quality Improvement Coordinator

The Revenue Cycle Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for organizing activities that foster exceptional revenue cycle performance outcomes specializing in the area of underpayments and denials. The QI Coordinator will audit account transactions along with other performance indicators and identify quality improvement, training, and educational opportunities as needed. The QI Coordinator will perform additional duties and provide operational support as needed to maintain continuity of operations. Job Requirements Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to: Knowledge of end-to-end revenue cycle processes# Familiarity with interdepartmental interactions as it relates to revenue cycle. Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of revenue cycle, finance, and accounting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management skills. Ability to present in front of large groups. Professionalism and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once. Strong Cerner knowledge Strong working knowledge of Windows-based software applications, specifically Excel. Self-starter, independent thinker, and collaborative team player. # License/Certification HFMA Revenue Cycle Representative#certification is required within one year of hire date. Education and/or Experience Bachelor#s degree preferred. Two years of healthcare revenue cycle experience required. # # Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance This position could involve long periods of standing, walking, stooping, occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 30 pounds) and sitting for extended periods of time. This position requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers, hand and finger dexterity, and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and other common office equipment.
