A day in the life of a Resource Registered Nurse You are a member of the care team for patients in our Emergency Department, Acute Care, Intensive Care, Family Birth Units. Patient-focused care is your priority. You will serve as a resource to all departments as the needs arise and may be scheduled to one unit for an entire shift or help in multiple departments throughout the day. As a key member of the patient care team, you provide nursing care adapted to the individual patient needs based on the nursing process. Your team will rely on you to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met and you may delegate or indirectly supervise support nursing staff that participates in the provision of care. This fast-paced environment keeps you on your toes, but your positive attitude ensures your success. Qualifications
Current Washington state RN license in good standing BLS, ACLS, and PALS or NRP Advanced current certification required or preferred for specific patient population:
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nurse Care Course (TNCC), American Nurses Assoc. Med-Surg., Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Certified Nurse Operation Room (CNOR), Mother-Friendly, Wound Care, Procedural Sedation, Chemotherapy, Anti-coagulation therapy management, Oncology, Hospice and Palliative Nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred 2 years experience in either ICU/ED or L&D
