Job Description
The 20/20 Optical Optician welcomes patients to our organization in a courteous, friendly, and helpful manner. Assists patients with frames and lens selection based on lifestyle needs and prescription analysis. Conducts measurements and evaluates patients' needs before ordering to ensure properly measured and selected eyewear. Fits and adjusts eyewear to patients and customers for optimum visual efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Interpret optical prescriptions and recommend appropriate lenses, frames, contact lenses, and low vision aids based on patient needs. Take facial and frame measurements to ensure proper fit, comfort, and positioning of eyewear. Educate patients on the care, use, adjustment, and repair of spectacles and contact lenses. Manage optical inventory by selecting, ordering, receiving, and verifying lenses and other vision care products. Maintain retail operations, including merchandising displays and coordinating with vision care product suppliers and sales representatives. Perform additional duties and support clinic operations as assigned by the Optical Clinic Coordinator. Hours/Shifts 80 hours bi-weekly, day shifts, Monday to Friday Compensation: Hourly Wage Range: $19.38 - $30.12. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
