OverviewWakeMed is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. In this role, you will operate advanced CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and comfort. Working under physician orders and established protocols, you will support accurate diagnoses and contribute to outstanding patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Perform CT imaging procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images. • Position patients and imaging equipment according to exam requirements and established protocols. • Monitor patient safety, comfort, and condition during procedures and report any concerns to physicians. • Review patient histories and physician orders to prepare for exams and prioritize workflow. • Record diagnostic information accurately within the electronic medical record. • Perform routine equipment checks, troubleshooting, and maintenance; report equipment issues as needed. • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to support diagnostic evaluations. • Educate patients and families regarding imaging procedures to promote understanding and reduce anxiety. Education • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, or • Graduate of an accredited Computerized Tomography (CT) program. Experience • Clinical Radiology experience preferred. Licensure/CertificationOne of the following is required: • ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT), or • ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography (R) and Nuclear Medicine Technology, or • Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
