Administrative Assistant, PRN

The Administrative Assistant for Volunteer Services provides administrative, receptionist, and operational support for the Volunteer and Chaplaincy Services office. This role coordinates daily office activities, facilitates communication with volunteers, staff, patients, and visitors, and assists with scheduling, records management, and departmental operations. The Administrative Assistant works independently to organize and prioritize responsibilities while contributing to a collaborative team environment and providing high-quality customer service in support of volunteer and chaplaincy programs. **Required Qualifications** * High School Diploma or Equivalent * Previous experience in an office setting doing similar duties **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with volunteers **Skills** * Knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles. * Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and Canva. * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build effective relationships with volunteers, chaplains, visitors, staff, and patients. * Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with individuals of diverse backgrounds, personalities, and learning styles. * Ability to establish rapport and collaborate effectively with volunteers, staff, and other departments. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities while meeting deadlines.\Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and volunteer information in accordance with organizational policies. * Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support departmental activities and events. **Company Information** Augusta Health is a mission-driven, independent, nonprofit, community health system located in Fishersville Virginia in Virginia's scenic Shenandoah Valley.
