We are proud to provide compassionate, community-focused healthcare in a welcoming, small-town environment.GENERAL PURPOSE:Under the general direction of the Department Manager, Physician, and/or Mid-level Provider, the Medical Assistant supports both front and back office clinical processes as needed. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations and procedures, sterilizing reusable instruments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and state regulations. The Medical Assistant also assists with front desk duties, coordinating patient intake paperwork to ensure smooth clinic flow.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visitPrepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests such as measuring blood pressure, weight, and temperatureAdminister injections and medications as directed by the physicianAssist with front desk activities as needed to support clinic operationsParticipate actively in quality improvement efforts and support clinical teamsAbility to stand or walk for up to 12 hours and lift/move patients when necessaryEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:High School diploma or GEDCompletion of a Medical Assistant programMinimum two years’ experience preferred in family medicine or pediatric clinicCMA or RMA certification strongly preferredLicensed through the Division of Public and Behavioral Health as an Office Laboratory AssistantBENEFITS:Competitive PayAnd more!Why Join Boulder City Hospital?Working here means gaining a true connection in a small-town hospital atmosphere with friendly staff, competitive pay, and strong benefits.
