We are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a friendly small-town atmosphere.GENERAL PURPOSE:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long Term Care delivers comprehensive patient care services as directed by supervising RNs and physicians. This role includes measuring, evaluating, administering, and documenting patient care, contributing to individualized care plans, and collaborating closely with Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) by assigning tasks based on their skills. The LPN advocates for patients’ rights and privacy and actively responds to the needs of patients, physicians, and families.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing protocolsProvide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting in examinations and treatmentsAssess patient conditions and report findings to the Registered Nurse or physicianCollaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plansSupervise and delegate duties to CNAs according to their competency levelsUphold patient confidentiality and advocate for patient rights and dignityMaintain accurate documentation of care and patient responsesPhysically capable of lifting, walking, carrying, and standing as requiredEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse ProgramCurrent Nevada State Board of Nursing licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)IV Certification to be obtained within one year of employmentProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to work effectively and compassionately with elderly patients, their families, and healthcare staffCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standardsBENEFITS:Paid Time Off (PTO)Retirement PlanLife Insurance OptionsAnd More!When you join Boulder City Hospital, you become part of a close-knit team in a supportive, small-town hospital environment.
