Assistant Nurse Manager - Stroke Treatment & RecoveryFull Time (80 hours/pay) - Day/Midnight commitmentRotation depending on the needs of the departmentNewark, DEChristianaCare is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for our 29-bed Stroke Treatment & Recovery (STAR) unit. In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist the Nurse Manager in the clinical and administrative activities of the department in order to ensure patients the provision of quality care. The STAR unit focuses on care of stroke patients and as well as medical patients.Click the link to learn about our STAR Unit https://christianacare.org/services/neurosciences/stroke/ Responsibilities:Supervises all nursing and technical personnel: Assesses competency of staff, oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of department, evaluate staff performance, counsel/coach staff member as needed.Participates in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions.Functions as role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors.Directs, mentors and supports all levels of staff.Develops, implements and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff.Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements.Highlights:We offer a robust benefits package at ChristianaCare that includes: Medical, dental & vision at day one; tuition reimbursement, 403B with defined contributions, life insurance, generous paid time off and more!Opportunity to step on leadership tract!Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.Master’s degree in Nursing required within 5 years. Three years' appropriate acute care, clinical experience required.Leadership experience preferred.Appropriate clinical certification required. Hourly Pay Range: $52.97 - $84.75This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
