Job Description
Overview Responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical and plumbing systems in the hospital, inspecting and testing electrical equipment, estimating costs, and preparing requisitions. Ensures proper functioning of HVAC and refrigeration systems and collaborates with contractors for construction projects. ResponsibilitiesRepair and renew mechanical systemsInspect and test electrical circuitry or equipment as neededEstimate cost of replacements or repairs and prepare requisitionsTroubleshoot and repair faulty mechanical components to ensure continued mechanical and plumbing servicesPerform corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical and plumbing systemsOperate the energy management system to ensure continued mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systemsCollaborate with contractors to complete construction projectsInspect construction projects for deficiencies and report to the supervisor QualificationsHigh school diploma1-2 years of specialized training in mechanical fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience (5 years preferred)Valid NC driver's licenseAbility to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and specifications
