JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS JOB SUMMARY Under direction of Radiology Manager, provides secretarial support and assistance for the entire Radiology Department. Areas of responsibility include general secretarial support, patient intake procedures, registration, scheduling patient exams, distribution of preparations and instructions, and file room duties/maintenance. Position requires use of hospital and radiology information system, Microsoft Word and Excel. Must facilitate high quality customer service to patients, physicians, outside agencies, and hospital staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Professional # Technical Skills Minimum one year secretarial experience is required, medical field preferred. Strong organizational skills, familiarity of office procedures, communication skills and attention to details are required, previous computer use required. Medical terminology is required. Education High School graduate License(s) or Certification(s) Other Skills or Requirements Ability to function under stressful circumstances involving physicians, hospital staff, physician offices and patients. Must be able to communicate professionally. Must be able to maintain a high degree of account ability and be able to resolve systems or office function situations.
