Position HighlightsMonday 8:00 am - 4:30pm and Wednesday 8:00 am - 6:30pmDepartment:CC MHS Intensive Outpatient ServicesHours: Per DiemBeit Paley Center for Mental Health ServicesThe Beit Paley Center for Mental Health Services is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills to support the office staff in our Adult Services Clinic.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and visitors and respond to inquiries while providing exceptional customer serviceAssist patients with office-specific registration processes, including kiosk and computer-based registration as neededAccurately enter and update patient demographic and insurance information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system for billing, tracking, and documentation purposesSchedule and reschedule patient appointments efficiently in accordance with department and practice guidelinesCollect, post, and reconcile patient payments accuratelyAnswer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly; appropriately triage calls and refer to providers when necessaryRespond to patient messages within the EMR inbox in a timely and professional mannerComplete EMR work items including patient follow-ups, pre-registrations, referrals, insurance authorizations, and other administrative tasks as neededScan and upload patient records into the EMR systemProcess faxes, incoming mail, and required paperworkPerform daily office closing procedures and reconciliation as requiredMaintain compliance with all federal regulations and organizational privacy policies, including HIPAAPerform additional administrative and clerical duties consistent with the needs of the officeMinimum QualificationsExperience with medical terminologyBasic computer proficiency (Google Workspace required; EPIC experience a plus)Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectivelyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComprehensive Benefits OfferedCompetitive and affordable benefits packageShift DifferentialsContinuing Education assistanceTuition reimbursementStudent Loan relief through FiduciusQuick commute access from I-84, Route 9 and surrounding areasAbout Middlesex HealthThe Smarter Choice for your Career!Come join one of Connecticut’s Top Workplaces, and a Magnet designated organization!
