We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patients. Our unit consists of 16 med/surg tele beds and provides post-op colorectal surgical care.  Job SummaryJob SummaryProvides basic patient care.Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures.Facilitates processing of patientsProvides clerical receptionist supportProvides Coordinating SupportPerforms additional duties related to the specific needs of the department QualificationsEducationHigh School diploma or equivalent GED.  Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.ExperienceSix (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.  Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure/CertificationBasic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.  Certified Nursing Assistant preferred Schedule7p-7a Work ShiftNight Position TypeRegular Full Time
