We operate as a Level III trauma center, take care of all medical emergencies, specialize in patients with active strokes and heart attacks, work with two dozen EMS agencies, and collaborate with ED physicians, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Norman Regional ED has 45 beds, Norman Regional Nine has 12 beds and Moore ED has 13 beds. Job SummaryJob SummaryPrepare rooms and specialty care areas for patient useAssists in and accompanies patients in transfer and discharge proceduresProvides patient carePerforms routine treatment proceduresAssist nurses/physicians with complicated treatment procedures QualificationsEducationHigh school education or equivalent GED requiredRequires Nationally Registered EMT Basicor completion of one clinical semesters of nursing school, or completion of a Combat Lifesaver or similar course, or equivalent relative ER experienceExperienceExperience preferred with the completion of an Nationally Registered EMT, Advanced or ParamedicCurrent experience in phlebotomy, arrhythmia recognition, and 12 lead EKG is preferredHospital experience preferredRelative ER or Military experience preferred(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure/CertificationBasic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient careCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employmentPrefer one or all of the following certifications: EMT Basic/Advanced/Paramedic Certification or Combat/Military medic training or one year of nursing schoolCompletion of MANDT relational course required within 6 months of hireCompletion of MANDT technical course preferred ScheduleMidshift 1p-1a Work ShiftEvening Position TypeRegular Full Time
