Departmental OverviewCompensation / Benefits$14.29-$23.34/hr depending on previous work experience.Evening differential $1.50/hr.Night differential $1.75/hr.Weekend differential $1.75/hr.Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancement.The Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) at Norman Regional Health System is a fast paced, critical care environment providing specialized, high-acuity care to patients with cardiac conditions, both pre- and post-procedure. In addition to caring for patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and Micra-pacemaker insertions, and cardiac ablation, we also care for patients hospitalized with a variety of cardiac diagnoses. Job SummaryJob SummaryProvides basic patient careAssists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environmentTakes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurseProvides general nursing care and routine treatment /proceduresFacilitates processing of patientsProvides clerical receptionist supportProvides Coordinating SupportPerforms additional duties related to the specific needs of the department QualificationsEducationHigh School diploma or equivalent GED. Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.ExperienceSix (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure/CertificationBasic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
