In addition to caring for patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and Micra-pacemaker insertions, and cardiac ablation, we also care for patients hospitalized with a variety of cardiac diagnoses. Job SummaryJob SummaryProvides basic patient careAssists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environmentTakes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurseProvides general nursing care and routine treatment /proceduresFacilitates processing of patientsProvides clerical receptionist supportProvides Coordinating SupportPerforms additional duties related to the specific needs of the department QualificationsEducationHigh School diploma or equivalent GED.  Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.ExperienceSix (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.  Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure/CertificationBasic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.  Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
