If accepted into the EMT Academy, you will complete a tuition-free 7-week training program and sit for the exam to obtain national certification. Spartanburg Community College is a proud partner in delivering the training for this program. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be an EMT and start working with either of the departments below:EMTs with EMS are responsible for responding to calls for emergencies, triaging the scene, and managing the care of the patient during transport to the Emergency Room.
