PRN Financial Assistance Representative (as needed)

**Valley View Hospital is seeking a qualified individual to work in our Patient Financial Services department as a PRN (as needed) Financial Assistance Representative. ** **** _**This position is PRN (as needed), day shift. On-site only in Glenwood Springs! **_ _**Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred! **_ **GENERAL OBJECTIVES:** * The Financial Assistance Representative willingly and effectively assists patients with all questions or issues related to the revenue cycle using exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills. * Calls unrelated to the revenue cycle will be properly handled to ensure patients' questions are resolved to their satisfaction. * Uses Microsoft Word and Excel along with Meditech to manage accounts. * Communicates in a compassionate and professional manner from a strong revenue cycle knowledge base. **QUALIFICATIONS** Education: * High school diploma or the equivalent. * A Certified Patient Accounts Technician certificate is preferred. Experience: * Admissions or billing background in a hospital or other healthcare setting is preferred Skills: * Typing 50 wpm is required * Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred * Exceptional customer service skills required * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required * Computer and clerical skills required * Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills * Must have a demonstrated ability to address difficult situations and resolve conflict with ease, poise, and tact * Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. **SALARY** * Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience. * Position wage range: **$20.00 - $28.87/hour + 14% PRN Differential. ** **BENEFITS** * Retirement plans 401(a) and 403(b) plans * Employee Assistance Program * **_Annual Bonus_** to eligible PRN employees based upon organizational and individual performance. * Employee discount on Valley View Medical Services * Use of Sunlight and Aspen SkiCo day passes **APPLICATION SUBMISSION END DATE** This position will be open for a minimum of three days and until a top applicant is identified. _**About Us**_ Located between Aspen and Vail, along the Colorado River, Glenwood Springs is a mecca for outdoor adventures in our beautiful mountains.
